It had been a few days since my last run. Actually, it had been a few weeks. The time leading up to my trip to Taiwan was too insanely busy to even think about lacing up my running shoes. Once I found myself on the soil of a new country, I was too busy working…
With the exception of various wildlife, occasional dogs, and extreme heat, my runs are generally uneventful. If I wasn’t looking for something to write about, I surely wouldn’t find it. Yet, for two consecutive days, it’s all happening.
Not all runs are good runs. Some just downright suck, as is the case with one of my runs this week. It started out as a run, but turned out to be more of a walk. It happens.
My 10k training app said it was a Long Run day. When I see the words long run, I think 10 miles or more. Which is completely ridiculous, since I am training to run six, or 6.2 to be exact.
My phone reminds me today is an easy run. A short, slow run of just under 2 miles. Good. I’m not feeling like a run today, but I want to be able to run a 10k in the fall, so I head out to complete my training run. My phone is kind of bossy.
